Few teenagers have enjoyed a rise as rapid as Yan Diomande. Whether he remains at RB Leipzig or completes his expected move to Real Madrid for a whopping ~€135m, the numbers suggest he is already one of Europe's most complete young wingers.
Diomande scored 12 Bundesliga goals and provided 8 assists during his debut campaign, earning the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award.
His World Cup performances were arguably even more impressive.

Désiré Doué (Paris Saint-Germain)
Most players dream of winning one UEFA Champions League title. Désiré Doué has already won two before turning 22.
Doué chose Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Bayern Munich and immediately justified that decision.
He helped PSG win their first-ever UEFA Champions League, completing a historic continental treble in his debut season before helping them successfully defend both Ligue 1 and the Champions League the following year.
His individual honours are equally impressive.

He became Sporting's youngest-ever goalscorer, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and Simão, before later becoming the youngest Portuguese player to score in the UEFA Champions League era.

Sometimes a player doesn't need to improve; he simply needs a bigger role at a club. Despite competing with one of Europe's strongest attacking units at Paris Saint-Germain, Ramos still scored 45 goals in 131 appearances across 3 seasons.
Before moving to France, he had already scored 41 goals in more than 100 appearances for Benfica, helping them win the Primeira Liga title.
His trophy cabinet is equally impressive, including 3 Ligue 1 titles, 2 Coupe de France trophies, 2 UEFA Champions League titles, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 1 FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

Ismael Saibari (Bayern Munich)
Ismael Saibari arrives in Munich for €55m as one of Europe's most underrated midfielders. During his time at PSV Eindhoven, Saibari scored 42 goals and provided 30 assists in 142 appearances, helping the Dutch club win multiple Eredivisie titles, Dutch Cups and Super Cups.
His performances earned him the Dutch Footballer of the Year award before Bayern Munich secured his signature.
The Moroccan also impressed at the FIFA World Cup, scoring once in each of his country's three group-stage matches against Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.
Internationally, he has already made 34 appearances and scored 12 goals for Morocco following their Africa Cup of Nations triumph.

Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal)
Arsenal have carefully managed Ethan Nwaneri's development, but the upcoming season feels like the one where talent finally meets opportunity. Few teenagers possess Nwaneri's composure in terms of possession. Comfortable operating centrally or from the right, he has already shown an impressive ability to play through tight spaces while maintaining Arsenal's passing rhythm. He knows Arsenal’s core unlike anyone; he’s been there since the age of eight. He also played alongside teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly at the academy.
On 8 August 2025, Nwaneri signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. On 23 January 2026, Nwaneri was loaned to Marseille until the end of the 2025-26 season. It could be said that the loan spell flopped as he scored 2 goals in 11 Ligue 1 appearances and was then left out of the squad.
In his 51 appearances for the Gunners, he scored 10 times. With Arsenal expected to compete across multiple competitions again, first-team minutes should increase significantly compared to previous campaigns.

Alejandro Garnacho (Aston Villa)
Alejandro Garnacho's move to Aston Villa feels less like a gamble and more like the perfect reset. The Argentine winger joins Villa on loan after managing only 14 Premier League starts last season. Despite flashes of brilliance, he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea. Much before that, he was already a regular at Manchester United.
Villa manager Unai Emery has admired Garnacho for over a year, believing his pace, direct running and ability to stretch defences perfectly suit Villa's transition-based style.
The deal also includes a conditional obligation to buy clause set at £43 million, to make the transfer permanent should the move prove successful.

Mateus Fernandes (Tottenham Hotspur)
Few midfielders have enhanced their reputation despite playing for struggling teams quite like Mateus Fernandes. Since arriving in England, Fernandes has started all but 4 Premier League matches for which he has been available. Fernandes played his first PL season at Southampton in 2024-25 before moving to West Ham for 2025-26. Spurs have now signed him for a club-record £85m and also beaten Manchester United to sign him.
Last PL season, he finished among the league's top ten midfielders for distance covered. He established himself as one of the competition's toughest tacklers and impressed in a hybrid No.6/No.8 role capable of both winning possession and progressing attacks. His performances attracted interest from several elite clubs.

Surrounded by better players, Fernandes should finally be able to showcase his complete midfield game every week rather than spending most matches defending.
